A fast‑growing international polymer materials manufacturer is expanding its commercial team in the United States and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support continued growth across its Thermoplastics portfolio.
This is a newly created position offering the chance to make a measurable impact within a rapidly scaling brand. You’ll leverage your industry network, market understanding, and technical-commercial expertise to build strong customer partnerships and drive new business across key sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Networking
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across core markets such as automotive, medical, and other specialty applications.
- Build a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and ongoing market presence.
Customer Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts.
- Establish consistent, clear communication to support customer needs and ensure high satisfaction.
Technical Consultation
- Collaborate closely with internal R&D and technical teams to provide material recommendations tailored to specific customer applications.
- Translate complex technical requirements into commercially viable solutions.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, emerging materials, and new technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
- Share insights with cross-functional teams to maintain a competitive edge.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and effectively manage your geography.
- Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, project updates, and opportunities within CRM tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of technical and commercial experience within the thermoplastics industry.
- A self-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and market visits.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and customer portals.
