Task profile:

  • Analysis of the global market and competitive environment in the water treatment sector, expansion of existing business areas and identification and development of new business opportunities and markets in cooperation with our strong global team. 

  • Development and implementation of global business development strategies in the water sector, including the definition of target segments and target customers on a global level. Close contact and coordination of strategies with the management.

  • Strategic management and conceptual development of the Industrial Development department for water in close cooperation with the Regional Sales Directors and the local managing directors of the subsidiaries.

  • Expansion and maintenance of the network to important customers and partners in the water sector in close cooperation with sales, including a constant analysis of and orientation towards international customer needs.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the global water industry strategy in close cooperation with the VP Global Sales and Customer Services as well as with product management and marketing.

  • Management, regular exchange and strategic meetings with the international team in the field of water, worldwide management of product analysis and marketing of our product portfolio in the field of water, management and further development of the water community.

  • International responsibility for set budgets and results.

  • Head of Division at ProMinent GmbH, technical and disciplinary management of the Global Industry Development Water Treatment department.

 

Qualification profile:

  • Degree in an engineering field, preferably in water technology, business administration, or a comparable discipline, degree at least Bachelor's, ideally Master's/Diploma

  • At least 10 years of sales experience / industry development experience in a comparable, internationally oriented position or in a consulting environment with a comparable focus, ideally in the area of technical products that require explanation related to business development

  • In-depth industry and product knowledge in the field of water/water projects

  • Structured, analytical, strategic and sales-oriented personality, experience in developing value-added strategies and taking responsibility for their implementation, ability to open up new sales opportunities and identify efficiency gains in the existing portfolio

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as social skills to drive change in the company at all levels 

  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and lead a team, experience in an international matrix organization

  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English, another foreign language is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel on an international level, approx. 30 - 40 %
