About the Role

This contract role as a Turnaround (TAR) Manager within a chemical and industrial operations environment is focused on planning, coordinating, and overseeing TAR or shutdown events. You will ensure maintenance and operational activities during these events are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and organisational standards. Working closely with operations and maintenance teams, you will manage schedules, resources, and communications to minimise downtime and optimise plant performance. Your contribution will be critical in maintaining the integrity and reliability of industrial assets while supporting continuous improvement in maintenance and operational practices.

Key Skills and Expertise

• Minimum 3-5 years' turnaround leadership/management experience, leading shutdown and turnaround events from planning through execution.
• 10+ years' experience across maintenance, turnarounds, capital projects, or field construction.
• Background in maintenance management, planning, or coordination
• Ability to develop and manage detailed TAR schedules, work scopes, and resource plans
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and HSE
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in chemical and industrial settings
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure
• Strong communication skills for coordinating stakeholders and contractors
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation during critical events
