About the Role

This contract (to perm) position focuses on cost control within a large chemical and industrial operations environment based in Freeport, Texas. You will support project coordination and operational teams to monitor, analyse, and manage project and operational costs, ensuring financial discipline and transparency across chemical and industrial activities. Working closely with project managers and operations leaders, you will help track budgets, prepare cost reports, support forecasting, and contribute to optimising cost efficiency in a complex chemicals setting.

Key Skills and Expertise

• 5+ years experience in a project coordinator or cost control role within chemical, industrial, or related operations environments
• Strong understanding of cost tracking, budgeting, and variance analysis for projects and operations
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and finance
• Competence in preparing and maintaining cost reports and documentation for management review
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in handling numerical and financial data
• Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a dynamic industrial setting
• Clear communication skills to present cost information and support decision-making
• Familiarity with chemical or industrial operations processes and terminology
• Desirable: Accounting Degree
