Turnaround Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner to support a major chemical manufacturing site in Louisiana on a 12–13 month contract. In this role, you will take ownership of planning a critical plant turnaround, ensuring all maintenance and operational activities are prepared, coordinated, and executed safely and efficiently. You will be 100% on site, working closely with operations, maintenance, and wider plant teams to develop detailed plans, utilise SAP for work management, and ideally support scheduling activities. This is a hands-on role where you will remain through the full turnaround lifecycle, from planning and preparation through to completion, helping to minimise downtime and maximise plant reliability.

Key Skills and Expertise

• Proven experience as a Turnaround Planner within chemical manufacturing or similar heavy industrial environments
• Strong SAP experience, particularly in maintenance, work orders and materials management
• Background in operations and/or maintenance within industrial or chemical facilities
• Ability to develop detailed turnaround plans, scopes of work and resource requirements
• Experience coordinating with maintenance and operations teams to prepare and execute plant outages
• Ideally, hands-on scheduling experience for turnaround activities
• Strong organisational skills with attention to safety, quality and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work 100% on site in a fast-paced plant environment
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and contractors
• Availability to start as soon as possible and attend interviews next week
